WELCOME TO NWTN FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES
Our ministry theme for 2026 is PROVEN!
Overview:
We’re all trying to prove something: our spot on the team; being captain material; being accepted by our peers; earning success and accolades; even love. We put time and energy into doing all we can to fit into these spaces, but it leaves us exhausted and unfulfilled.
But we don’t have to keep striving to prove our worth; God has proven everything for us through His Son Jesus Christ. We simply receive what has already been done for us. We are proven in Him.
You don’t need to prove anything; Jesus has proven it all.
Theme Verse:
“My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be my disciples.”
John 15:8
Theme Journey:
The coach and athlete story of Proven can be seen below:
- Once Upon A Time… I believed love and acceptance were based on my performance.
- And Every Day… I felt exhausted and empty trying to prove myself.
- Until One Day… I found unconditional love through God’s gift of salvation from the perfect life, death and resurrection of Jesus.
- And Now… I am already proven and remain connected to Jesus, producing fruit to point others to Him.
From proving my worth...to PROVEN in Him.
Key Concepts:
Within the overarching Proven narrative, we have four concepts that bring out the discipleship journey. Each concept concentrates on a smaller theme within the big picture and walks us through how to engage in these areas.
CONNECT
Remain in me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me. John 15:4-5
CULTIVATE
"My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be my disciples. As the Father has loved me, I have also loved you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commands you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete." John 15:8-11
CHOOSE
"You did not choose me, but I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give you." John 15:16
COMMIT
“… If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.” John 15:20b
